Do you believe in magic?
Our main attraction for this offer is visiting the top of Golden Rock Mountain with an open truck from the base camp of mountain which takes about 1 hour. It is a small pagoda (7.3 meters (24 ft)) built on the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by devotees. It is the third most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Burma after the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Mahamuni Pagoda. A glimpse of the “gravity defying” Golden Rock is believed to be enough of an inspiration for any person to turn to Buddhism.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative at Yangon International airport and we will accompany you to your hotel in the city. After refreshing yourself for a while, you can start your sightseeing in the Yangon city which is a commercial city of Myanmar. As sightseeing, you can visit Sule Pagoda and downtown area with colonial buildings and the majar bazaar market Bogyoke Aung San Market or Scott Market where there are hundred shops for handicrafts, art galleries, jewellery shops and etc.
End of the day with a fantastic sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the main attraction of Yangon. After the sightseeing, return back to the hotel and spend the rest of your day at your hotel.
Overnight in Yangon.
Our guide and driver will pick up you at the hotel to drive to Kyaikthiyoe. En-route, we will pay a short visit to Bago (1 hr drive), the ancient capital dating back to the 16th century. Start a tour with Kyaikpun, huge four-sitting-Buddha, the colorful local market busy with buying and selling. Then pay a visit to Shwethalyaung, 55 meters long reclining Buddha image, Shwemawdaw Pagoda with 114 meters the highest pagoda in Myanmar.
Continue drive to Kyaikhtiyo (3.5 hr drive) 100km above sea-level. After arrival at Kinpun base camp, we will take an open trucks to uphill. Tips: You can enjoy soft trekking from Yathae Hill to the summit (maximum 45min-1 hr). After refreshment, stroll around the local rest houses, restaurants and stalls near the pagoda platform. You can call it a day by enjoying beautiful sunset with its panoramic view. Overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy sunrise (upon your hotel location) before descending to the base camp. Then drive back to Yangon. On the way, we will visit Htaukkyant War Cemetery, peaceful and its beautiful landscape with 27,000 stone graves of fallen Commonwealth and Allied soldiers. In the late afternoon, arrive back to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon.
Transfer to Yangon International airport for your departure from Myanmar with full unforgettable memories.
